If you Image HDs from Ghost there is a conflict with machine IDs and therefore WSUS won't report back to the server until you create a new ID number by doing the following

From your Cmd line: net.exe stop wuauserv (CR)

Find the folowing Registry Keys and delete them:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate,
AccountDomainSID
SusClientID
PingID

From your Cmd line: net.exe Start wuauserv (CR)

From your Cmd line: wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow (CR)
